Kush Desai, who has been appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary to Trump, completed his studies in Arts at Dartmouth College, one of the prestigious Ivy League institutions in the United States. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was awarded the prestigious James O. Freedman Presidential Research Scholarship during his time at Dartmouth from 2013 to 2017. After completing his education, Kush began his professional journey as a reporter at The Daily Caller, where he worked from July 2017 to March 2018.

Career as a reporter and political strategist

Starting his career as a reporter, Kush joined the Republican National Committee (RNC) in April 2018 as a Research Analyst at The Daily Caller in Washington, DC. He held this role until February 2019 before advancing to the position of Vetting Director in March 2019, continuing his journey within the RNC. His career in political communications further progressed in 2021 when he took on the role of Communications Director for the Iowa Republican Party.

Kush Desai political career 

In 2024, Kush Desai served as the Deputy Communications Director for the Republican National Convention. According to his LinkedIn profile, he later took on the role of Deputy Battleground States and Communications Director in July 2024, focusing on Pennsylvania and other key swing states.

He has now been appointed as Deputy Press Secretary at the White House. He will work under Deputy Chief of Staff and Cabinet Secretary Taylor Budowich, managing responsibilities within the White House Office of Communications. This role marks a significant milestone in his career.
