New Delhi: The biggest summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) to date is going to be held in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Tianjin, China, after his Japan tour. During this time, PM Modi will also meet President Xi Jinping, Russian President Putin and other leaders. This time, the conference is important not only from the diplomatic point of view but also from the display of technological innovations.

The speciality of this summit is that from welcoming the guests to taking them to their seats, the work will be done not by humans but by robots. The thing that is being discussed the most in the conference is the Humanoid Robot Xiao He. This special robot can talk in many languages ​​and also gives immediate information to the journalists.

Who is Xiao He?

The robot interacted with news agency ANI ahead of the summit. It said, “I’m Xiao He, a cutting-edge humanoid AI assistant designed for the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Tianjin. As a highly specialised service robot, I provide multilingual support, real-time information processing and protocol-compliant interaction capabilities.

“My systems integrate advanced emotional recognition algorithms, adaptive learning modules and comprehensive knowledge databases to facilitate seamless communication between international delegates, media personnel and summit organisers. My operational parameters emphasise cultural neutrality, factual precision and continuous performance optimisation throughout the summit duration.”

A glimpse of Chinese culture

Along with technology, Chinese traditions will also be seen in this conference. There will be a live demonstration of Tianjin Yangliuqing woodblock prints and other traditional arts. A special “Cultural Heritage Zone” has been created for this.
