Washington, May 27 : Software giant Microsoft has officially confirmed the introduction of Cortana to iOS and Android and is also planning to release separate apps for each mobile operating system to enable its digital assistant to run outside of Windows. According to the Verge, the Cortana companion will be available for Android in late June and iOS later this year. Microsoft has announced that the phone version of its Windows 10 operating system will not be launched this summer. Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft said that the phone builds have not been as far along as PC builds. Belfiore also said that from the device view, their main focus is to kick off the Windows 10 launch wave with a great launch on the PC.
