The minions that we loved in Despicable Me and Despicable 2 now have their very own movie and Universal Pictures has treated us all with a second trailer for the Minions movie. The minions are jobless and they are looking for a new master well before they worked for Gru. Their only hope, henchman placement services where villains get handy help from prospects.

It turns out that the minions are not evil or talented as henchmen so they try and learn a few tricks from the best villain of the time, Scarlet Overkill. Scarlet Overkill would have been the perfect match for Gru but that’s something the makers of the film can use in future films. All that the minions want is power, respect and bananas.

When the Earth didn’t have as many continents as today, when the dinosaurs ruled the earth, they too needed yellow capsules of bliss to get their odd jobs done and there came the need for Minions. Minions have helped the villains from as far back as 65 million years ago to pull off their dastardly acts and aid them in doing so. The only problem was, they couldn’t manage to stay with one villain, be it a T-Rex or a demented Army officer. Their simple lack of attention to pretty appalling details made them inadvertently defeat pharaohs and even Dracula.

Soon they realized that they were running out of masters to command them and that made them really sad. They started to wander, they lost interest in things and they became aimless without a purpose. Three minions set out to protect their way of life and journey long and hard across the great landmass on Earth till they reach New York City. What happens next needs to be seen.
