We all have seen Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in awe of Indian TV actress Mouni Roy, every single time the Naagin 2 star made a special appearance on his reality show, Bigg Boss on COLORS channel. Salman who does not believe in hiding the true feelings appreciated for her talent, be it acting or dance. If one can remember the Bigg Boss 10 episode when Mouni Roy came to promote her item song from the film Tum Bin 2, Salman asked director Anubhav Sinha on why she was not cast as the leading actress. Well, Mouni might not have been signed in the lead role then, but the beautiful television actress seems all set to be launched by Salman Khan in Bollywood. If the reports are to be believed, Mouni Roy may soon join the list of actresses handed the big break in Hindi cinema industry. The list includes the likes of Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah, Zarine Khan, Sneha Ullal, Raveena Tandon, Bhagyashree and many more.
Indian TV actress Mouni Roy has been a shining gem on the small screen, and her fans are in love with her vivacious personality. Salman Khan who clearly has been a fan of 31-year-old star’s acting and dancing skills (Mouni is a trained Kathak dancer) has reportedly roped her in one of his production films. A DNA report quoted a source as saying, “Salman had seen the same spark in Sonakshi Sinha when he launched her in Dabangg. He sees Mouni as being extremely desi, a traditional Indian heroine draped in a saree. He is looking at launching Mouni in one of his forthcoming home productions.” Well, if this is true, we have another diva ready to be mentored and launched by Salman Khan. Here’s a look at seven notable debutants opposite the Superstar Khan.

Bollywood’s Noor aka Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in 2010 film Dabangg. Playing the role of a village belle, Rajjo, Sonakshi impressed fans right in her first outing. She has given several successful movies in her kitty, but all were playing as the romantic interests of male-dominated films. Sonakshi tried her hands doing female-oriented films like Akira and her last release, Noor but did not taste the success as she had hoped for.

Who can forget the iconic Jodi of Prem and Suman in an innocent love story, Maine Pyar Kiya directed by Sooraj Barjatya? Bhagyashree as Salman Khan’s best friend turned lover is one of the sweetest female character Bollywood has ever seen. The actress who made her debut with Salman was on the point with her impressive acting skills and sweet-natured personality. Bhagyashree did films in Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu and Bhojpuri industry but could never enjoy the same success as that of Maine Pyar Kiya.

One of the very few actresses who had a successful career after getting launched opposite Salman Khan is Raveena Tandon. The talented star who we last saw in Maatr made her debut with 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool. Apart from film doing a good business at the box office, Raveena Tandon impressed fans and critics to win Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year.

Dancer-choreographer turned actress, Daisy Shah struck gold when she was cast as the female lead opposite Salman Khan in 2014 film Jai Ho. Being a typical Salman Khan film, Daisy had to be content with playing the role of his romantic interest. Daisy could not shine in the tailored character. She was last seen in a supporting role in 2015 erotic-thriller Hate Story 3.

Touted to be Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai’s lookalike, Sneha Ullal made her debut opposite Salman Khan with 2005 romantic film Lucky: No Time for Love. Sneha was all of 18 when she took baby steps in the world of cinema, with Salman handholding her. The film fared decently at the box office with Sneha failing to make it big of the opportunity provided.

We all know how Zarine Khan bagged her first film with none other than Salman Khan. An overweight Zarine impressed the actor while giving an autograph to her on the sets of Yuvraj. The actor asked Zarine Khan to do a photoshoot and even motivated her to shed extra kilos. The actress was later signed opposite Salman Khan in epic war drama Veer. Despite the film tanking big time at the box office, Zarine is doing fairly decent work in the industry.

Bhumika Chawla has had done few films in Telugu and Tamil cinema industry but was not getting the big break in Bollywood. Finally, with 2003 film Tere Naam she got the ticket to Hindi film and that too opposite Salman Khan. Bhumika was the first newcomer in 12 years Salman agreed to work with after last doing it with Raveena Tandon in 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool.
