Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, along with his family, visited Prayagraj on Tuesday for the Mahakumbh. They took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and later went to the Niranjani Akhada, where they joined a community meal service at the camp of Peethadheeshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri. The Ambani family arrived in Prayagraj at 3 PM via six chartered planes. Their visit included a four-hour schedule, during which they will take a holy dip at the Sangam.
Swami Kailashanand shared that a Bhandara (food distribution service) is being held at his camp with support from Reliance Industries.
Mukesh Ambani has a close relationship with Swami Kailashanand Giri and had invited him to his younger son Anant Ambani’s wedding, where the spiritual leader blessed Anant and Radhika.

Niranjani Akhada is one of India’s oldest and most important religious groups, dedicated to Lord Kartikeya. It has monasteries and ashrams in several cities, including Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, Ujjain, Mirzapur, Mount Abu, Jaipur, Varanasi, Noida, and Vadodara. The current Mahamandaleshwar, Sadhvi Sanjananand Giri, was given this title by Peethadheeshwar Kailashanand Giri.
Meanwhile, the crowd of devotees at the Mahakumbh Mela continues to grow. On Maghi Purnima (February 12), the fair area was declared a no-vehicle zone. Starting February 11 at 4 PM, only emergency and essential service vehicles will be allowed in the fair zone to ensure a smooth experience for the visiting devotees.
Several prominent personalities, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have taken a dip in the sacred waters of the Sangam during the Mahakumbh. Other key leaders who have participated in the ritual include Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (along with his cabinet), and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.
Chief Ministers from various states have also visited, including Bhajan Lal Sharma (Rajasthan), Nayab Singh Saini (Haryana), N. Biren Singh (Manipur), and Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat). Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Shripad Naik, as well as BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi and Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty, have also taken part in the ritual.
Beyond political figures, a number of well-known celebrities have visited Mahakumbh, such as Bollywood stars Hema Malini, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, Bhagyashree, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Isha Gupta. Sports icons Saina Nehwal (Olympic medalist), Suresh Raina (cricketer), and The Great Khali (wrestler), along with choreographer Remo D’Souza, poet Kumar Vishwas, and renowned BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, have also taken the holy dip.
