Today the train services on railway’s central line between Matunga and Dadar were disrupted. Due to issues related to railway recruitment the job aspirants protested on the railway tracks by resorting to a rail roko on the central railway line during the morning rush hour. For jobs in the railways, the fuming students from across the country are protesting. A Central Railway official said that the protest of agitated students demanding jobs in railways blocked rail traffic and caused difficulties to lakh of commuters. Chief public relation officer, central railway, Sunil Udasi said, ‘’Due to some agitation between Matunga and Dadar, rail traffic has been affected between Matunga and CSMT.”
Both the slow and fast local train services ahead of Matunga have been shut completely, forcing commuters to walk on the tracks as protesters have blocked all the lines.
