Humans have managed to control many aspects of life, but death remains the one undeniable truth that no one has conquered. This is why some of the world’s wealthiest individuals are now investing heavily in ways to slow down aging and even achieve immortality. And believe it or not, an isolated island in the United States is secretly working on this very concept.
According to a report by Daily Mail, about 40 miles off the coast of Honduras lies a small island called Roatan. It’s easily accessible from the US via a direct flight. This island is home to Prospera, a city founded by Eric Brimen. Prospera operates with its own tax system, and transactions are even conducted using Bitcoin.
What’s truly shocking is that this place offers unauthorized medical treatments—procedures that have not been approved by any recognized medical body. One of the most controversial treatments available here is an injection designed to alter DNA molecules in the body. This injection is said to trigger a natural self-repairing mechanism, effectively stopping the aging process. In simple terms, it’s an “immortality shot” that not only prevents death but also claims to stop people from aging altogether.
A biotech company called Minicircle is offering these DNA-altering injections, and one of its most well-known clients is biohacker Bryan Johnson. In 2024, Johnson received the injection and claimed to have experienced positive results. However, this treatment remains illegal in the US and has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Despite its controversial status, the injection is being administered for a staggering price of Rs. 22 lakh (2.2 million rupees). It is claimed to remain effective for two years.
Minicircle, a Delaware-registered biotech startup, states that this gene therapy works by influencing the body’s functions through a protein called follistatin. The company claims that the treatment can slow down the aging process by 0.64 points, meaning that instead of aging one year in 12 months, a person would take 19 months to age the same amount.
