The videos and pictures currently going viral on Twitter show cane baskets with strings attached to them, hanging across the streets from the balconies of various houses. “If you can, put something inside. It is heart-warming to know that as the country fights its worst battle with the pandemic in the world, it has not forgotten its less fortunate even under a severe lockdown. Since shops, restaurants, businesses and public gatherings continue to remain shut, the residents of Naples have left Twitterati inspired as other countries too practice the essential lockdown. Italy is the country worst hit since the beginning of the global coronavirus pandemic as it recorded another 766 fatalities on Friday. The overall death toll now stands at 14, 681 and over 4,000 patients are reportedly in intensive care.
