1. Eat scrambled eggs


As eggs contain an amino acid called cysteine, they are an excellent way to combat a hangover. It breaks down the alcohol in the body and helps in reducing the toxicity. It also helps in removing impurities from the body. Have at least 2-3 scrambled eggs to feel better and rejuvenated.

2. Ginger Tea


Have a warm cup of ginger tea immediately after waking up. A warm cup of ginger tea will help one to get rid of stomach upset and also helps to combat nausea and vomiting. (Also Read: Genius tips to beat hangover post New Year celebrations)

3. Lemon Juice


Lemons help to battle with after-effects of drinking like uneasiness, body pain and giddiness. Have a glass of lemon juice in the morning in a glass or warm water. Adding honey into the drink also helps in reducing hangover. Drink at least 2-3 glass or lemon juice throughout the day.

4.  Drink water


Water helps to dilute impurities in the stomach. It is necessary to drink enough water when you wake up as alcohol dehydrates your body. At least drink eight to ten glasses of water throughout the day.

5. Avoid caffeine


Alcohol dehydrates your body. Having caffeinated drinks as the first thing in the morning can cause bad effect on the body. Drinks high on caffeine also lead to dehydration of the body so it is best to avoid coffee. Instead, sip a cup of ginger or peppermint tea to refresh yourself from the bad hangover.
