Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today asserted that no flight is being diverted from Amritsar Airport to any other place since the state has taken up the issue
Amritsar, Sep 12: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today asserted that no flight is being diverted from Amritsar Airport to any other place since the state has taken up the issue with the Centre, besides initiating efforts to launch more international and domestic flights at Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport near here.
He said here that Punjab government was trying for resuming of operations of suspended flights. He also said that they have approached Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Indigo and some other international and domestic players to resume and launch new flights from Amritsar.
Meanwhile, Sukhbir Singh Badal today issued instructions to all authorities involved in the ongoing development projects in the holy city for timely completion of projects. He was in the city to pay obeisance at Golden Temple.

Badal paid visit to various sites where ongoing development works are underway and reiterated that the SAD-BJP government was committed to develop Amritsar as one of the most planned and developed city in the country. He said that ‘Urban Haat’ will be developed, which will showcase the unique food culture as well as handicrafts of the holy city of Amritsar along different means of entertainment of common masses
