The classic Snake game of Nokia is all set to make its re-debut on smartphones from May 14. The latest version of Snake, Snake Rewind will be available for for iOS, Android and Windows smartphone users. The widely popular game was pre-installed on Nokia devices back in 1997. The game was originally invented by Taneli Armanto who brought it in Nokia’s 6110 handset in 1997.

After 18 years , Taneli Armanto and developer Rumilus Design are bringing the latest version of the game for smartphones. The Snake Rewind is a modern retake of the classic Snake game. “I think it’s one of the best games ever. It has not left me alone in the years since I first designed it. Even when I was working on other projects. I loved working at Nokia and was sad to leave. But perhaps it is a blessing in disguise,” Armanto who left Nokia in 2011 was quoted saying to Mirror Online.
