His bizarre claims have now drawn sharp reactions from Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANS) and public alike who have demanded action against him.
“This is hypocrisy in the name of God. What will happen to an infected person if he/she relies on such remedies – thus keeping self away from treatment and solution? These people will give rise to another disaster by spreading this contagious disease,” Milind Deshmukh, MANS state chief secretary, told Pune Mirror.
The pastor’s secretary meanwhile, has claimed that the speech was misconstrued.
In another baseless claim, Swami Chakrapani, who claims to be president of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha on Friday claimed that coronavirus is an ‘avatar’ that has come to punish those who eat non-vegetarian food and said that cow urine is the cure.
“I request all the presidents and prime ministers of the world to take cow urine on a daily basis. You have all these scientists who don’t know the cure, we have the cure given to us by the gods,” he claimed.
