Plus-size Woman’s Semi-Nude Photoshoot With Fiancé Goes Viral, ‘Family-Oriented’ Company Fires Her Over Too Intimate Pics

It is difficult to please everyone. Texas woman Stephanie realized of this harsh reality lately. The plus-size woman made headlines after doing a fantastic boudoir photo shoot with her fiancé. Steamy semi-nude pictures of a ‘topless’ Stephanie and her partner, Arryn, instantly went viral on the social media. The erotic yet elegant snaps were photographed by Bria Terry of Wolf & Rose Photography was received well by netizens who applauded Stephanie for spreading body positivity message. Despite getting so much of appreciation, Stephanie was fired by her ‘family-oriented’ company, Austin Bank Texas National Association who called her pre-wedding pictures ‘inappropriate’.

About two weeks ago, Wolf & Rose Photography shared a series of steamy pictures on their Facebook page. It featured a couple, Stephanie and Arryn, both hailing from Overton, Texas involved in boudoir photo shoot. As a plus-size woman, Stephanie led a very conscious and uncomfortable life. But thanks to the sultry pre-wedding photo shoot directed by photographer, Bria, she felt confident and desirable, for the first time. ‘I honestly have never felt more attractive,’ Stephanie told HuffPost of the racy shoot.  ‘I was so nervous to see the final result. I didn’t know what to expect. But when I saw the album, I was shocked.’

Stephanie definitely became a role model for many as well as an overnight social media sensation. Her pictures received appreciation from all quarters. The pictures were shared more than 85,000 times with more than 40, 000 likes and 10,000 comments. Basking in the newly-found confidence, the woman was quoted saying, ‘I look so in love and confident. Every person should be able to see themselves in that light. It is really eye-opening.’ But exactly, not everyone seemed to be happy of Stephanie taking such a positive and bold step.

Stephanie who worked for Austin Bank Texas National Association for past one year fired over the intimate pictures. They even went on to call them ‘inappropriate’. The bank who see themselves as ‘family oriented company’ told her “they were ‘concerned’ about how many people would see her photos and how it would reflect on the company.” The company told Stephanie was topless in the photos, to which she explained she was wearing a swimsuit bottom and a strapless top that is worn with backless dresses.

“There was no defending myself, they had made their decision,” said Stephanie. “I gave over a year to a company that I worked really hard for and then to have them turn on me for doing something so positive, something that I was so proud of — to help myself as a woman — it was hurtful. People were pulling out their phones at work and showing the pictures and that was blamed on me.”

“As a company, if they feel what I do outside of my job is going to jeopardize their business, that’s fine. It’s just disheartening to me because I feel like home life and work life are two totally different things. I was a model employee, I was moving up fast. I had a promotion within seven months. This one thing, for me, was the reason I was booted,” Stephanie told BuzzFeed.
