The Indian Women’s Cricket team is all set to take on England in the finals of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017 today. They are one match away from clinching the trophy and becoming the world champions. The Indian eves under the guidance of Captain Mithali Raj have put the Indian Women’s cricket in the hearts of all Indian citizens with their amazing performance on field. Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jhulan Goswami, Veda Krishnamurthy, Sushma Verma have all managed to bring laurels to themselves and their country. Mithali Raj has already become the highest run-scorer in women’s cricket and Harmanpreet Kaur became second Indian cricketer to post a knock of more than 150 runs in the limited overs game in the semifinal against Australia. Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to post individual tweets to all the Indian players and wished them all the best for the final against host team England.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is an active Twitter user took to his personal account and sent out tweets applauding the efforts of the Indian eves in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017. In each tweet that he sent out he put some personal message and outlined the qualities and achievements of the players. He started off with the tweet wishing the entire team and wrote, “As our women’s cricket team plays the World Cup finals today, I join the 125 crore Indians in wishing them the very best! @BCCIWomen.” Later on he sent personal and individual tweets to all the team members.
