On the first death anniversary of Pratyusha Banerjee, her bestie, Kamya Punjabi is releasing her last short film, Hum Kuchh Kah Na Sakey. Made under the banner of Stay Tuned Media, Hum Kuchh Kah Na Sakey is the last performance of Pratyusha Banerjee and also stars Kamya Punjabi. From references to Pratyusha’s boyfriend at the time, Rahul Raj Singh to capturing Pratyusha’s issues with alcoholism, the 36-second promo has it all. The trailer for the short film stars the late actress herself and is seen fighting with a unfaced man who is named Rahul (her boyfriend perhaps?) and is the creepiest thing on the internet. If you were not living under the rock, you know that Pratyusha’s boyfriend was accused of being the main reason behind the untimely death of the Balika Vadhu actress. The video shares an alarming resemblance to the real life issues that Pratyusha Banerjee was battling at the time.

The promo shows Pratyusha crying as she yells that she does not enjoy fighting and turns into a montage of the actress crying and consuming alcohol and the last seen of Pratyusha crying as she threatens Rahul saying that if he leaves it would be the last time he sees her. The trailer then transitions into Kamya Punjabi’s close up shot as she recites a powerful verse from the film, “Har ashq ki and dastaan hai, Kuch beh gaye, kuch reh gaye.” The phrase translates to, “every tear has a tale to tell, while some find a way, some die away.”

Kamya Punjabi revealed that the short film was shot one and a half months before Pratyusha’s death and will be released as a tribute to the talented actress and her best friend. While talking to a daily, Kamya revealed that she regrets neglecting Pratyusha during her difficult times as she was caught up with her work. Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide by hanging herself in her apartment. The cause of her sudden decision is a mystery although there are various rumours that the actress, who was suffering from depression, had relationship issues as well as financial troubles. The entire short film will be released on April 1, on Pratyusha Banerjee’s first death anniversary.
