Priyanka Chopra has become a global star and has come a long way in her career, but she is still her Daddy’s little girl. The Quantico actor has paid tribute to her father Ashok Chopra on his fifth death anniversary. She has shared an emotional video on her Instagram account which comprises of throwback pictures. In the video, Priyanka voiced and said, “I was very close to my father. He was my superhero, my idol. I wanted to grow up and be him. He was a musician; he used to perform on stage, he was a surgeon, he was an artist, he was the life of the party, gregarious laughter, extremely confident man. Father, don’t go far away. Father, stay with me please.”
The video starts with the text, “My dad was my best friend, my idol and my protector. He was the man of my life”, and it ends with Ashok Chopra’s picture followed by the text, “Remembering my father Lt. Col. Dr Ashok Chopra. He made his little girl believe that she could be anything. Miss you and love you forever”.
Priyanka captioned the video as, “5 years today. Miss u dad”.
Ashok Chopra died on June 10, 2013, at the age of 64 after battling with cancer for several years. Priyanka’s father was a Lieutenant Colonel in Indian Army and retired in 1997.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is currently in New York and is being featured in American Television series Quantico. Soon the Bajiroa Mastani actor will be returning to India to start the shooting of Bharat opposite Salman Khan.
