Born on November 25, 1978, Rakhi Sawant is a popular Indian item girl who is quite well-known for her dances in films. Apart from being a dancer and TV host, she is also an Indian politician who supports the Republican Party of India (A) party. Rakhi has also appeared on television talk shows and is regarded as sex symbol. In the year 2014, she launched her own new political party Rashtriya Aam Party and participated in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. Soon after the elections, she joined RPI (A).
Rakhi got her big breaks in Agnichakra and Farah Khan’s Main Hoon Na. She also performed dance numbers in movies like Joru Ka Ghulam, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain and Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke.
Rakhi started tasting success from 2006 onwards, as she is the one who draws the attention of the media for negative publicity and for her bizarre appearances. There is a long list of her controversies, the major one being her quarrel with Mika Singh. In 2006, Mika forcefully kissed her during his birthday party.
