On International Women’s Day when everyone was celebrating achievements of women, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma celebrated Men’s Day. Not just that if insulted adult star and Bollywood actor Sunny Leone and women as whole on Twitter. He tweeted saying that he wished that all women gave men as much as happinees as Sunny Leone does. Twitterati was quick to shut him down with nastier tweets. Varma garnered the wrath of Twitterati for his sexist tweets with people trolling him. According to an ANI tweet, activist Vishaka Mhambre has filed a complaint against him in Goa. It is not the first time Varma took to Twitter to defame celebrities. He has in the past mocked at various actors and sought the attention of Twitterati. However this time, he crossed all limits and went to insult women on a day when they are celebrated. He tweeted saying, “Is there no #MensDay because all days in the year belong to only men and the women were given just only one day?” Then he went on to say, “Women’s day should be called #MensDay because men celebrate women much more than women celebrate women.” His misogyny did not end there, he also tweeted saying, “Women on atleast #MensDay should not nag or scream and atleast give some freedom to men”. Ram Gopal Varma’s tweet on International Women’s Day 2017 insults Sunny Leone and all women!
