Hardly three days of telecast and the Twitterati were seen lashing out at Kaikeyi and her maid, Manthara’s characters which soon escalated into a feminism debate. While some users tried to tone down the bad-mouthing with words of praise for the “warrior women”, others knew no chills. Taking to his handle on the micro-blogging site, one Twitter user wrote, “Kaikeyi was the first pseudo feminist. #Ramayan (sic)” while another commented, “Kaikeyi was a class A bitch, wasn’t she? Asking for her son to be crowned king was alright, but sending Ram to exile was evil at a whole new level. Don’t bash me, I won’t take it back! (sic)” and yet another posted, “A woman can make or distroy a home.
