The woman stated that the company messaged them regarding a new policy enforcement. According to it, the employees of the company will be entitled to receive ‘hospitalisation leaves’, leaving a ban on ‘sick leaves’ and ‘casual leaves’. A Reddit user named RedditAndRegretItttt shared a post in the subreddit IndianWorkplace regarding the leave policy update of its company. The user shared two screenshots in which the company’s HR and recruitment specialist messaged the employees regarding the enforcement of the new leave policy.

According to the post, the company is discontinuing sick leaves and casual leaves for the employees, replacing them with ‘hospitalisation leaves’. As per the message, the hospitalisation leave will be granted to the employees only after the submission of valid hospital documents, erasing the concept of sick leaves and casual leaves completely.

How are the Reddit users reacting?

The Reddit users are going crazy after reading the message shared by HR and recruitment specialist of the company. One wrote, “There should be a “death bed” leave that you can apply during your last day of life.”

Another user commented, “What? You get casual leaves/sick leaves from Shops & Establishment Act. This is kind of illegal.” At this, the person who shared the post replied, “I checked the act, it says the establishments under 20 employees are exempted from this act.”
