Ronnie Screwvala Hints at Shah Rukh Khan’s Exit From Rakesh Sharma’s Biopic ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha,’ Twitterati Support His Decision

This is the second time that a megastar has rejected SJSA.

In a recent cryptic update on his Twitter handle, producer of Rakesh Sharma‘s Biopic Saare Jahan Se Achcha, Ronnie Screwvala strengthens rumours about Shah Rukh Khan stepping down from starring in the film. The debacle of Aanand L. Rai‘s Zero is said to be the reason behind King Khan weighing his options judiciously.

Even though writer Anjum Rajabali, earlier, termed the news as a fake one, Ronnie Screwvala, took to his Twitter handle a few hours ago and tweeted, “Most times the difference between Success and Failure is not a better Idea or ability but the courage to BET on the idea, PRE PLAN to perfection, take the calculated RISK and then STICK WITH IT” (sic).

Though SRK’s exit is not official yet, news portal PeepingMoon.com has learned that SRK was worried that another space film, after the absolute box office failure of Zero (his romantic drama released in December in which his character travels to Mars) will not go down well with his fans. It is being widely speculated that with the last several of his films faring poorly, the actor is not ready to take risks with experimental films at this point in his career and wants to play safe by opting for films and essaying only those characters with which the audience identifies him.

Now that his exit has been made crystal clear, or as Twitterati feel, SRK is being supported for his move and suggestions are pouring in to cast a new-young actor. While some fans suggested roping in Sushant Singh Rajput for the role, many others were found supporting the actor for his decision.

This is the second time that a megastar has rejected SJSA. Initially, the film was offered to Aamir Khan who rejected the offer to focus on his dream project Mahabharat. On Aamir’s insistence, SRK took it up and himself confirmed to star in it while being excited about the same but seems like not all’s well that ends well in the Bollywood kingdom. Reportedly, Farhan Akhtar is ready with the script of Don 3 and SRK is gearing up for it with the assurance of bouncing back with the elusive, criminal minded gangster.
