While education is considered among rights a child should be given in the country, the quality of education has been the least talked about subjects. Time and again, cases of mass cheating and nepotism has surfaced which shows how marks and degrees have become easily attainable in the country. These issues will continue to produce students with no knowledge but have qualifications to boast about. After video of mass cheating in Bihar has gone viral last year, here is yet another video which shows how a teacher helped students during Class 10 Board exams in Haryana. The teacher who was assigned supervision in the ongoing Haryana Class 10 exam in Jhajjar town was seen helping students with the answers. In the video that has now gone viral on several social media platforms, an invigilator was seen reading out answers to students from a paper in her hand during science exam at Government Girls Senior Secondary School. However, she refused to show the answers to another student and scolded him for trying to cheat. She quickly hid the paper when she found the camera being pointed at her. According to Hindustan Times, Jhajjar district education officer (DEO) Satbir Siwach said that they have started an inquiry into the matter and relieved the teacher of duty. Last year, the news of Rubi Rai who attained first in her exam without even knowing names of the subject does not seem to be enough for the education system to learn lessons. Rai when asked how she managed to get to the top without knowing a thing had said that she only wanted to pass the exam but her dad helped her achieve the first rank. While this incident got reported, there many such cases where students and teachers are equally involved in mass cheating. According to HT, a board spokesperson said that 2,898 cases of copying have been registered so far in the ongoing Class 10 and 12 board exams.
