Sridevi Death: Several Actors Are Requesting All to #LetHerRestInPeace
Celebs started hashtag #LetHerRestInPeace and requested media to not trivialize her demise.
Sridevi- first female superstar of India passed away on February 24 in Dubai and the same gave a major shock to many including celebrities. Now the celebs are tweeting how media and others should not trivialize the death of iconic star who entertained the nation for more than four decades with her movies in various languages. Some news outlets have been sensationalizing her death and by coming up with speculative stories. Exaggerated and insensitive stories started doing the rounds everywhere, after forensic reports which stated that her cause of death was accidental drowning was released. Some news channels even recreated the whole bathtub accident and some even had a panel discussion on what could have led to the accidental drowning.
Vidya Balan, Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan tweeted on media’s insensitivity and castigated them for disrespecting the famous star and now many stars including Tollywood stars started hashtag #LetHerRestInPeace and requested media to not trivialize her demise. Tollywood stars like Hansika Motwani, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu and Pranitha Subhash among others tweeted a picture of the legendary star with the same hashtag.

The initial reports suggested that Sridevi died after a cardiac arrest. As soon as the reason was revealed, many netizens speculated how she could have been died due to side effects of cosmetic surgeries and anti-aging pills. And the forensic report, ruling out the cardiac arrest, led to more insensitive stories. As per latest reports, clearance has been provided and the family will soon receive her mortal remains and will be flown back to Mumbai tonight.
