Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced recently that it will recall around 200,000 of the next-generation biometric passports as the lot mistakenly features an image of Washington’s Dulles International Airport rather than Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport. The mistake came into light when a netizen said on Facebook that the ministry had mistaken Dulles Airport for Taoyuan airport. The ministry earlier dismissed the error but later apologized to the public for the oversight. Reportedly, all copies will be returned to the Central Engraving and Printing Plant, which will print the new passports. Also Read - Whoa!
