Television Hottie Tinaa Dattaa Opens up About Daayan Co-Star Mohit Malhotra Inappropriately Touching Her, Team Feels he Goes Overboard With Intimate Scenes

Tinaa was spotted in tears post the shoot

Making her comeback on the silver screen, after gaining much popularity for her role in 2008-2015 telecasted Hindi serial Uttaran, Tinaa Dattaa is back as Jaahnvi Morya in a weekend soap, Daayan. While fans can’t wait to have their Ichhki back after a long hiatus, the actress personally seems not to enjoy being back on sets and the reason is sickening. The news of her Daayan co-star, Mohit Malhotra, allegedly touching her inappropriately on sets while shooting intimate scenes spread like wildfire after Tinaa was spotted in tears post the shoot. The actor, however, was reported to be strolling around without any regrets evidently.

While many tried to brush the issue under the social media carpet, Tina finally broke her silence in a statement to Pinkvilla and said, “When we shoot a tv show there are lot of problems, big /small/ugly… I have raised my issues (related to Mohit) with the production team and they have been very supportive. I am thrilled to work with balaji after many years. I leave the issues with them to sort …. thanks. (sic)”

Reportedly, the team too felt that Mohit went overboard sometimes while doing intimate scenes and chose not to heed warnings when singled out, which made Tinaa further uncomfortable. According to a Pinkvilla source, “She finally broke down the other day because of this.”

In his defence, Mohit is said to have sent out a yet-to-be-televised joint statement of the two where he brushed aside all the rumours and said, “She is my good friend and we share a cordial relationship,” while Tinaa stood uncomfortably as he spoke in denial for both of them. Mohit even claimed to have hardly shot any intimate scenes with her.

Earlier this year, Tinaa revealed to have been in an abusive relationship for five years before she called it quits. The actress, who rose to fame with TV show Uttaran, opened up about the bad phase and said that the man in the relationship used to beat her up in front of her friends.

The relationship scarred her so much that she said she had lost all hopes of finding love again in life. Tina mentioned that she doesn’t want to marry someone from the industry because marriages within the industry aren’t successful according to her.
