Reportedly a Buddhist monk landed in a hot water as stole away women’s innerwear from an alleyway in Suphanburi, Thailand and the same was caught on CCTV. The video showed how the monk named Theeraphap Worradilok stole few pairs of underwear which were drying outside. He surveyed the area and swiftly snatched the garments from the clothesline and added in his blue shoulder bag before fleeing from the crime scene. As per news reports, the police started a manhunt for the monk when a person named Kittisak Khajornnetikhun complained about his wife’s and daughter’s lingerie missing. Kittisak revealed that he complained about the robbery so that other women can be warned about the monk. “The underwear isn’t worth a lot of money. My wife can buy more, though she did like one of the pairs that were stolen,” Mr Khajornnetikhun told NewsFlare.

“The most important thing is that other women should be warned about the monk. That’s why we have reported it. It’s quite funny and we’re not shaken up by it so we don’t want to make a fuss. But it’s the right thing that he is caught for this, ” he added. Reportedly, police Colonel Phuwadit Khongpet is leading the search for the Godman. “We have interviewed the abbot at the temple who said the monk might have been confused because he had stopped taking medication,” Colonel Khongpet told.

“But he has tarnished the reputation of the temple. Officers will continue the investigation, find the monk and charge him with theft according to law,” he added. As per reports, the Godman was also kicked out of his temple by the spiritual leader. A lot of reports of Godmen indulging in crimes had come up in past and many monks in Thailand were caught in crimes like wildlife trafficking as well. What are your views on the same?
