Turkmenistan, which just like North Korea is a tightly controlled state, has reported no cases so far.

Moving further, as per a report by Newsweek, the nations without a known single novel coronavirus case, are located primarily in the continent of Africa and isolated Pacific island states.

Several island states of the South Pacific including the Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Samoa, Solomon islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu have been spared from the menacing virus.

While in Africa, countries like Yemen, South Sudan, Vanuatu, Botswana, Lesotho, Tonga, Burundi, Malawi, Sierra Leone and the island nations of Comoros and São Tomé and Príncipe, are free from the virus.

However, as per a Statista.com report, no COVID-19 cases in Africa could be due to a lack of testing capacity on the ground.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the world, coronavirus is spreading havoc as total number of cases edge toward a million as pandemic surges in US, Italy and France.
