If we say that Rahul Gandhi has learnt from his past mistakes and stopped making nonsensical statements then it would be the most blatant lie ever. Rahul Gandhi, the scion of Nehru-Gandhi family and the Vice-President of Indian National Congress (INC) is sarcastically called ‘Pappu’ because of his statements and antics. These days, he has also obtained the moniker of ‘BJP’s Star Campaigner’ since his remarks and speeches inadvertently promoted the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party as the best party in India! He has always been mocked for his speeches and the fact that he loses the thread of his speech midway is also a cause for much enjoyment. Every time Rahul Gandhi comes on the dais to speak, his party members are seen twiddling their thumbs and raking their brains on how to repair the damage. As a result of his speeches, the Congress VP keeps getting trolled on Twitter and his funny speech videos are viral on YouTube.

Some days back Rahul Gandhi, something similar happened. While speaking at the Jan Vedna Sammelan in New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said that he sees the Congress symbol of an open palm in the photos of gods and saints belonging to various religions! “I was told that the Congress party was around 100 years old. But one day, when I was going through some photos, I saw the Congress symbol in a photo of Shivji,” said the Congress Vice-President in a video that has gone viral. “I thought that was very strange. So, I looked at some other photos. And I saw a photo of Guru Nanak ji and the Congress symbol was there too,” Rahul Gandhi said. He added that he also saw the Congress symbol in the photos of Lord Buddha and Mahavir. “I then asked Karan Singh ji (Congress leader): Why is the Congress symbol visible in every religion like Islam, Hinduism, Judaism?” Rahul said, with his partymen clapping but the rest of the country feeling embarrassed.

If you thought that the speech could have not become any weirder then wait for Karan Singh’s answer! Apparently, he told Rahul Gandhi, “Karan Singh ji told me: This means, daro matt (don’t be afraid). Don’t be afraid of the present conditions. Face the truth. Now, this is a strange thing that since 3,000 or 4.000 years before today, in every religion, you are being told this. The symbol is also there. And you are being told not to be afraid of your present and reality.”Navjot Singh Sidhu joins Congress before Punjab polls, Twitter has field day with ‘Comedy Nights with Rahul’

The speech could not have been closer to truth. It is ironical that Rahul Gandhi is the man who is talking about facing the truth. The Congress party with decreasing representation in the Central Government as well as most states is searching for an identity after years of being at the helm of the country. They have made alliances with Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh and Capt Amarinder Singh in Punjab for the upcoming assembly elections in the two states. The Chief Ministerial candidates of these alliances are not from the Congress and the party is reduced to playing second fiddle. We can’t say much about Rahul Gandhi’s speech or what he was thinking but it is high time that he understands that the Indian public is not swayed by fairy tales and stories but rather base their judgement on hard facts and clear reasoning. Rahul Gandhi’s demonetisation and Padmasana jibe at PM Narendra Modi makes him a butt of jokes again on Twitter.
