Very few people exemplify the rare combination of beauty and brains, and IPS officer Aashna Chaudhary is one of them. Her story is truly inspiring and serves as a motivation for all UPSC aspirants. Aashna Chaudhary hails from a small town called Pilkhua in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Her father, Dr. Ajit Singh, is a professor at a government college, and her mother, Indu Singh, is a homemaker. Aashna completed her schooling from various schools, including St. Xavier’s School in Pilkhua, St. Mary’s School in Udaipur, and Delhi Public School in Ghaziabad. She scored an impressive 96.5% in her 12th-grade exams.
After finishing her schooling, Aashna pursued a degree in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She then went on to study International Relations at South Asian University, where she began preparing for the UPSC exam.
Aashna Chaudhary attempted the UPSC exam for the first time in 2020, but she was unable to pass even the prelims. Undeterred, she made a second attempt in 2021, narrowly missing the prelims by just a few marks. Although disappointed after two unsuccessful attempts, her family continued to support and encourage her. In 2022, Aashna took her third attempt, achieving great success with an All India Rank of 116. She secured 992 marks out of 2025 marks.
She then secured her first preference of service — Indian Police Service (IPS).Instead of selecting IAS as her top preference, Aashna chose to become an IPS officer. Her journey is highly inspirational and offers motivation to all UPSC aspirants. Currently, she has been deputed to Gorakhpur.
Apart from her academic achievements, Aashna Chaudhary is also active on social media. Recently, IAS officer Abhinav Siwach shared a photo with her, which garnered a lot of positive attention and admiration in the comments.

Abhinav, a resident of Gorakhpur village in Fatehabad district, Haryana, cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in his second attempt in 2022.
Reports suggest that Aashna and Abhinav met at the IAS Training Center. Abhinav holds an MBA from IIM Kolkata and completed his BTech from Delhi Technological University (DTU) in 2016. Before joining the civil services, he worked as an investment banker.
