Spreading the festive cheer, Google Doodle kicked off the celebratory part of the year. Matching the festive mood of the netizens, the online search engine changed its cover in accordance to the emotions of it’s millions of users. The season of shopping, gifting and partying has arrived and the Google Doodle reminds everyone that ‘Holidays have just begun!’.
‘Tis the Season’ is used to refer to this part of the year, mainly from December 23 to January 2, when the majority of the world spends in a relaxed manner, enjoying their vacations , taking break from their hectic schedule, spending time with their children, family and friends. Most of the universities and colleges schedule a number of activities during this period to increase the interaction between students and faculties. A number of games are organized including the highly popular ‘Secret Santa’ to celebrate the season.
Although 2015 has been marred with a number of terror attacks and the threat of real-time extremism haunting the entire globe, the cheer of the festive season has not decreased a bit. France, which is still reeling under the mass-trauma caused after the deadly Paris attacks, has decided to celebrate ‘Tis the Season in an even cheerful manner with shopping malls set open for 24 hours a day till the New Year.
The aroma of Christmas has filled the air, the decoration for the grand parties are evident everywhere. It is that part of the year which has turned everyone excited. ‘Tis the Season is the time to enjoy, offline as well as online.
