American actor and producer Tom Cruise was born on July 3, 1962. The three-time Academy Award nominated and winner of three Golden Globe Awards star started his career at the age of 19 with Endless Love in 1981. After playing side kick and supporting roles in movies he landed his first lead role in the movie Risky Business. His first full fledged movie as a leading star was Top Gun. He is known for his portrayal of Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun. Also he is well known for his portrayal of Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible series.

His other famous movies are The Colour of Money, Rain Man, Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Minority Report, Interview with the Vampire and Jack Reacher. He has been named as one of the highest paid actor in Hollywood with fourteen of his movies grossing over $ 100 million domestically and twenty movies grossing US$200 million worldwide!
