In a tragic turn of affairs, aspiring TV actor Rahul Dixit passed away on Wednesday morning after allegedly committing suicide at his house in Lokhandwala Complex in suburban Andheri. The 28-year-old was found by family members, hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom by a bed sheet, before they took him to a nearby hospital.
Declared dead before arrival, Rahul’s reason for taking the extreme step is uncertain as no suicide note has been found yet. The police have reportedly registered a case of accidental death while further investigation is in process.
Heartbroken at the untimely death of his son, Rahul’s father expressed his grief on social media as he posted a distressed thought on Facebook which read, “Is duniya ko kyun chhod kar chala gaya Rahul (Why did you leave this world, Rahul?)”.
Hailing from Jaipur, Rahul had reportedly come to Mumbai to establish himself as an actor but facing struggles, apparently, in the tinselville, Rahul ended his life prematurely. Mahesh posted a series of messages later on his son’s Facebook profile which hints at trouble in Rahul’s romantic life and accused the police of ignoring the injury marks on Rahul’s body. While the first post read, “Mera beta khudkushi nahi kar sakta hai. Yeh Roopa/Priya ladki ke kaaran he hai (My son cannot commit suicide. This is because of that girl Roopa/Priya)” (sic) another post read, “Rahul Dixit ke shareer par chonton ke nishaan hain jisey police nazar andaaz kar rahi hai. Isey aatmahatya bata rahi hai. Jo ki saraasar galat hai (Rahul Dixit has injury marks on his body which the police is ignoring and calling it a case of suicide attempt which is wrong)” (sic).
In the last post, the emotionally torn father cursed the said girl in his son’s life, now calling her by another name Rupali, as he wrote, “Prabhu iss ladki Rupali ko bhi iske kiye ki saza zarur miley (Oh Lord! May this girl Rupali suffer too for her actions)” (sic).
