Union Budget 2017 will be released on February 1, 2017, by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. This is the most important budget designed by the Narendra Modi government as it will show the effects of demonetisation. The people of the country have been expecting a lot from the government as they expect that all the hardships of demonetisation will finally pay off. While there are some who hope for a rise in the tax slabs, there are others who are looking for ways to avoid paying taxes. Famous cricketing personality, Virender Sehwag has some excellent advice on how to avoid paying taxes and has discussed it in the latest sketch of Viru Ke Funde. The one-minute 46-second video begins with former First Class cricketer, Raju Sharma asking Sehwag for hacks to avoid paying taxes. Viru Paaji comes up with the best reply to this popular question, and he explained it in his entertaining cricket based style. He said that it is high time we think about earning money instead of saving money. He gave a wide range of examples to explain this point, from taking inspiration from Aamir Khan in Lagaan who scored the runs and saved the tax in the 2000 release Lagaan, to the time when cricketer Aakash Chopra failed to score more than 30 runs after playing for 150 balls. The talented cricketer took a dig at his teammate in U-19 cricket, Mohammad Kaif. He said that the international batsman had run out Sehwag four times in the U-19 cricket and said that had he thought about scoring the runs instead of saving the wickets, things would have been very different. When Raju Sharma argued that paying tax is like scoring a century to give away 30 runs from the score to the government, and Sehwag countered that the aim should be to make 130 runs then! The video ends with Sehwag warning people to stop thinking of saving their tax money and avoid the Income tax from knocking their doors!
