Oscar winning star Lupita Nyong’o demonstrates her favourite pastime with her best-friends. In this Vogue video Lupita Nyong’o wows us with her amazing braiding skills. She says that she used to pass time in college by braiding her friend’s hair on weekends.
“I decided it was going to be my side hustle. I was going to make some money braiding people’s hair,” Nyong’o told Vogue. “So I went to the great troubles of creating a poster but I just didn’t have the heart to charge anyone.”
She was inspired by her aunt during and now she passionately share her knack for style with other and helps her friends look uber cool by sculpting their locks into box braids, cornrow and twists! She finds the braiding art very intimate and it helps her to connect with the person.
“For me braiding hair is an intimate thing,” Nyong’o said. “It’s getting up close and personal and I like to do it for people I know and love and trust.”she adds.
