Algeria and South Korea faced each other for the FIFA World Cup 2014 group H match. It was their first encounter at the World Cup. And this turned out to be an interesting match, as both the teams strove to score points and lead the head-to-head match.
Algeria moved up to the second in the FIFA World Cup 2014 Group H by winning over South Korea. The winning team moved up to second in Group H, with a convincing 4-2 win over Korea Republic at Porto Alegre’s Estadio Beira-Rio. The Korean Republic scored two goals credited to Koo Jacheol and Son Heung Min.
Islan Slimani ran onto a long ball to flick in the first point; Rafick Halliche’s header gave Algeria the second point followed by Abdelmoumene Djabau who side-footed a third goal. Yacine Brahimi added Algeria’s fourth goal. As a result, Algeria held up their first World Cup win since 1982!
