Lionel Messi and company ran a riot as Argentina beat Paraguay 6-1 to enter the final of the Copa America 2015 where they are set to meet hosts Chile. Angel Di Maria scored a brace, while the likes of Marcos Rojo, Sergio Aguero, Javier Pastore and Gonzalo Higuain too found their names in the scoresheet. It was a clinical display of football from title favourites Argentina.

So often it is about Di Maria providing the assist and Messi scoring the goal. In this case, however, Messi made a mockery of the Paraguayan defenders as he ran through them and made them tackle each other before proving perfect passes.

Paraguay couldn’t produce the kind of magic that had helped them upset the mighty Brazilians in the quarterfinals. Argentina will now meet Chile, which is aiming for its maiden Copa America win.
