The day has arrived. Wimbledon 2014 begins today, June 23. And what better way to start The Championships’ Day 1 than to watch defending champion Andy Murray play his first match in the Men’s Singles! Murray will play David Goffin of Belgium in his first round match at 1 pm local time in London (5:30 pm IST).
Murray’s ranking is No.3 while Goffin is way behind at No.104. But there could be surprises in store here.
Remember how a low-ranked down and out champion Goran Ivanisevic had made a comeback and won the title at Wimbledon 2001? Goffin the underdog could just beat Murray as well!
