What are Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani doing in Gaya?

According to local media reports, Mukesh Ambani arrived at the Gaya International Airport in his private aircraft, while son Anant Ambani travelled in his own special plane, amid tight security arrangements. The father-son duo were seen heading towards the Gaya’s famous Vishnupad temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, to perform Pind Daan and other rituals for the salvation of ancestors.

Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani will stay in Gaya Ji for a few hours and later head back to Mumbai at around 9 PM aboard their private aircraft, as per media reports..

As per details, Ambani family priest Shambhu Lal Bitthal, who is also the chairman of the Vishnupad Temple Management Committee, will supervise the Pind Daan rituals at the Vishnupad Temple. While the Ambanis are reportedly scheduled to depart Gaya later tonight, a room has been booked for Mukesh Ambani and his family at the Bihar Administrative Training Center (BIPARD) guest house, in case the Ambanis spend the night in the Bihar city.

Why President Murmu is also visiting Gaya?

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will embark a day-long visit to Gaya Ji in Bihar on Saturday and perform puja at the Shri Vishnupad Temple there. “The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, will visit Gaya, Bihar, tomorrow (September 20, 2025) to perform puja at the Shri Vishnupad Temple,” according to an official statement issued by the President’s office on Friday.

Reports suggest that President Murmu will also perform Pind Daan and Tarpan rituals at the Phalgu River in the Vishnupad Temple complex.
