Even a WhatsApp message can be dangerous. According to reports, Love Johar was the admin of the group titled ‘Johars’ which had members of the family and people of the residence of the area who belonged to the same gotra or clan of Johars, said police. The brutal incident took place after the victim has shared a personal photo on the WhatsApp group while having dinner on Sunday night. Love’s brother Johar said, “The photo prompted the accused, Dinesh alias Bunty Johri, to pick up an argument with Love, with the Dinesh calling the Love to come to his house to discuss the issue. Love and three of my brothers went to Bunty’s house, where he and his family attacked them out of the blue with bricks and sticks.”

The investigation revealed that Love and Dinesh argued over a small issue and later took the fight to the street. Senior Police Official said, “The investigation is not complete, but till now it seems a fight was started over dominance among their community and led to the physical clash. Love was killed, and three of his brothers were badly injured. Love’s body was handed back to the family after postmortem. Two of the three injured were also discharged by Monday evening while the third one is also doing better now.”

The murder case has been registered against six members of the Dinesh family, and currently, all the accused are on the run.
