MMS video: The “19-minute viral video” which took Indian social media by storm this week, has given rise to rumors and controversies, including claims that there is a another, more explicit “part 2” of the young couple seen in the viral MMS clip, even as many users falsely identified the girl in video as Sweet Jannat (Sweet Zannat), an influencer from Meghalaya.

Who is Sweet Zannat?

A native of Mahendraganj in Meghalaya, Sweet Jannat or Sweet Zannat, is an Instagram influencer who posts videos about daily life on the platform. However, Zannat was mired in controversy after Instagram users falsely identified her as the girl in the infamous 19-minute video.

While Zannat’s newfound fame resulted in a significant rise in Instagram followers, it also came with abuse and trolling as her comment section was flooded with messages asking whether she was the girl seen in intimate action in the viral MMS video. Users also slipped into her DMs asking her to “send the link” for the “19-minute video”, and some resorted to personal insults and abuses and downright trolling.

Was Sweet Zannat in the MMS video?

Weary from constant trolling on social media, Sweet Jannat posted a video on her Instagram handle (@sweet_zannat_12374), in which she stressed that she was not the girl seen in the 19-minute video, and asked users to compare her face with the viral MMS video girl.

In the November 28th video, Sweet Zannat said the video was an AI-generated deepfake, while pointing out the clear differences between her and the girl in the viral 19-minute MMS. “The girl in the video, her way of speaking, her looks, everything is different. I barely passed 12th, while the girl in the video is speaking English fluently,” Jannat noted in the video.

“This is not a joke for me. I have been under intense mental stress due to people claiming that I was the girl in MMS video,” the influencer said.

Is there a ‘part 2’ of 19-minute video?

While the 19-minute viral video has been confirmed as being a leaked clip of private moments of Bengali influencers Sofik SK and Dusto Sonali, the claims of a “part 2”, which many claims is more explicit, are false.

Experts have cautioned netizens not to click on links on shady websites as this could lead to financial losses and noted that viral clips claiming to be “part 2” of the MMS video are nothing more than AI deepfakes, not real videos.

Who is in the 19-minute viral video?

According to reports, the young couple seen in the viral MMS clip are Bengali YouTuber Sofik SK and his girlfriend Sonali. However, India.com could not independently verify these claims.

Both Sofik SK and Dustu Sonali are content creators, and often make videos together which are posted on their Instagram and YouTube handles. Sofik SK runs, Palli Gram TV, a popular Bengali YouTube channel, while Sonali has over 312,000 followers on Instagram, where she lists herself as a an “artist”.

Following the controversy, the couple took their individual handles to issue separate apologies, and blamed their friend for leaking the private video, claiming that he had been blackmailing them.
