A woman was caught pregnant with drugs! Yes, you heard it right a 32-year-old woman from Dubai was arrested at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. She was detained by the by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) while she tried to fake a pregnancy with a huge amount of drugs hidden in her stomach. She had hidden drugs not only in her body but also other parts of her body. She had swallowed packets of the drugs.
Later she was sent to Osmania Hospital to surgically remove the drugs sealed in sachets. Some quantity has been removed. She was sent to a hospital post airport customs procedure. The narcotic substance that she concealed as a fake pregnancy in her body was recovered after she landed here.
The substance that was removed from the woman’s body has been sent to a laboratory for identification. The senior customs department official has confirmed about the case. The case will be followed up with more investigation. This has not been the first case wherein smuggling drugs came into notice by concealing narcotic substance.
