Ambani, Adani, Tata Who Paid Highest Taxes In FY23?

Reliance Industries paid over Rs 20,713 crore in taxes to the government, making Mukesh Ambani the highest taxpayer in the country.
TCS paid Rs 14,604 crore in taxes during FY23, making it the second-largest listed company in India.
In FY23, SBI paid Rs 17,649 crore in income taxes.
HDFC Bank paid Rs 15,350 crore in income taxes, in FY23
ICICI Bank, the fourth-largest company in India, paid Rs 11,793 crore in taxes for FY23.
Infosys, founded by NR Narayana Murthy, paid Rs 9,214 crore in taxes last year.
Surprisingly, Gautam Adani is not among India's top 10 taxpayers list, as corporate taxes in India are calculated on profits not on market capitalization.
Adani Group did not generate profits in the highest range like Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, his name is not there in the top 10 taxpayers list.
