Daggubati Purandeswari was born on April 22, 1959 in Madras.
Daggubati Purandeswari's father was a NT Rama Rao, the famous actor and her mother was Basavatarakam.
Daggubati Purandeswari did her schooling from Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School Church Park in Chennai.
After schooling, Daggubati Purandeswari did her BA from South Indian Educational Trust and Women College, Chennai in literature, in 1979.
The politician then did a Diploma in Gemmology at the Gemmological Institute of India in the year 1996.
Daggubati Purandeswari later established the Hyderabad Institute of Gem and Jewellery in 1997; she can read, write and speak in Englisg, Telugu, Tamil, French and Hindi.
Referred to as the 'Sushma Swaraj of South', Daggubati Purandeswari is currently the BJP President of Andhra Pradesh; she is the BJP candidate from Rajahmundry Constituency for the LS Polls.
