Diabetes symptoms: 5 warning signs you may notice while walking

PAD: People with diabetes are more at risk of Peripheral Artery Disease. The arteries constrict restricting blood and oxygen follow causing cramps, spasm, heaviness while walking.

Restless walking: High diabetes when damages nerves, it causes burning sensation, tingling that one may experience while walking. Can be mistaken for restless leg syndrome.

Tingling: This is a common warning sign. High blood pressure may affect nervous system that causes tingling sensation in limbs.

Cramps while walking: One may experience unexplained yet sudden muscle spasm in leg. High glucose level sometime harden arteries restricting blood flow.

Fatigue: When glucose levels are fluctuating, one may experience fatigue while walking or with other physical activity. Damaged nerves (diabetic neuropathy)can also cause it.

Swelling: Due to nerve damage, there can be risk of swelling, blisters, fluid accumulation that may aggravate while walking.
