Bad breath: When body has high blood sugar, it causes frequent urination to flush toxins. This may cause dehydration, less saliva production causing a fruity or bad smelling mouth.

Gum disease: Uncontrolled diabetes may increase sugar level in saliva. This becomes thriving ground for bacteria causing gum disease and poor breath.
