Meet Munkhbayar Dorjsuren – Manu Bhaker’s Shooting Coach

Munkhbayar Dorjsuren is a former shoot who won bronze medal in the 25m pistol event at Barcelona 1992 for Mongolia and bronze in 2008 Beijing Olympics for Germany.

Munkhbayar Dorjsuren is the coach of the current Indian shooting team and was on the courtside when Manu Bhaker won both her medals at the Paris Olympics 2024.

The 55-year-old six-time Olympian had previously been a coached Indian shooter Rahi Sarnobat, helping her to win gold at 2018 Asian Games.

Munkhbayar Dorjsuren started her career for Mongolia before shifting base to Germany.

She had won the 1998 ISSF World Shooting Championships in 10 metre air pistol for Mongolia.

Munkhbayar Dorjsuren represented Germany in 2004, 2008 and 2012 editions of Olympics. She won the 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships in 25 metre pistol for Germany.

Munkhbayar Dorjsuren was appointed in 2022 when former Indian shooter Joydeep Karkamar was NRAI’s chief coach.
