Users can tag up to five accounts in a single status update.

Tagged users can now repost the status where they are mentioned, fostering greater engagement among users.

For added privacy, there's also an option to tag others without displaying their names publicly.

Another new feature is a "like" button, similar to Instagram Stories, allowing friends to quickly react with a single tap.

These updates make WhatsApp Status feel more interactive, aligning it with features of Instagram Stories.

However, as before, the status will disappear after 24 hours.

The company confirmed that these new features will be available to users globally soon.
