She reignited her passion for art after her separation from her husband. Her first sale inculcated a sense of financial freedom in her and channelled a new zeal for life. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, she mentioned, “I was so nervous but even then, I felt joy. You see, that had never happened before. I got married right out of college. We were deeply in love and just a year later, we even had a boy! And by 27, I was a mom of 2! But soon we began having problems; I felt suffocated and so, we separated.”

Life was a mess for Varde after that but soon she learnt to stand up on her own two legs and even sold paintings at a full-fledged exhibition of hers.

“We were our only family and it only became better when 8 years [ago] my son got married! I loved Sameera from the moment I met her. “And so, when she said, ‘Let’s make reels together’, I agreed in a second! I had no knowledge about social media but I was excited to learn something new,” she shared with HOB.

All About Manjri and Sameera’s Quirky Relationship

How often do we see saas-bahu making reels and being each other’s best friends? Well, Manjri and Sameera have broken that threshold of a stereotypical societal standard. Sameera has her social media with the moniker ‘Messy Mama’ and we love to see the wholesome posts the duo share with each other.

In one her older interviews, Sameera mentioned, “My mother-in-law and I have really worked on our relationship. It did not happen out of the blue. What works for us is that both of us are very strong women, we walk the line and come to a meeting point. We do not necessarily agree on everything but the one thing we agree on is the fact that we love each other and our intentions are right. And when you come from that space, negativity is something that we do not indulge in at all. We have a great relationship and we will constantly work on it to make sure we keep it that way,”

Motherhood is not just about mothers and their daughters or sons. It is not just blood-relation. Motherhood is an emotion that entails unwavering selflessness and unconditional love and just cannot be put into pure words. Every bond of mother and her child is special. It is not just society has written for us and Majri- Sameera show us how!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful bonds!
